THE CHALLENGE

March of Dimes (MOD) is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Since 2003, the March of Dimes fight to save babies has been strongly characterized by their Prematurity Campaign.

THE SITUATION

Prematurity is the #1 killer of babies in the United States. March of Dimes is working to change that and help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.  

Through partnerships with companies, organizations and individuals, the March of Dimes is able to create unique events while supporting a critical cause.  

The Signature Chefs event, hosted annually, provides an opportunity to share the state's amazing culinary talent but also bring awareness to issues such as prematurity and raise money to fund critical research & education opportunities.

THE RESULTS

Celebrating March of Dimes (RI) fifteen years as a non-profit organization, we created a video that featured fifteen NICU families. Each family showcased, represented how the MOD had supported them during their journey; whether through research, support or education.

Before and after photos were shown of the children to connect the audience to the life of a newborn, often a child who has spent time in the NICU.

The video was viewed at the start of the Signature Chef Auction to connect the audience to the mission: a world in which every baby has the opportunity to thrive, live the future they choose and grow up to change the world.

Post event, the video was posted on March of Dimes social media channels and continues to raise awareness for such an important cause.
