Textron Inc. is one of the world’s best-known multi-industry companies, recognized for powerful brands such as Bell Helicopter, Cessna, Beechcraft, E-Z-GO, Jacobsen, and many more.

As a global network of businesses encompassing a broad range of industries, Textron was faced with an extraordinary challenge: How could it help every employee understand each company’s capabilities and strengths in a way that made sense—no matter where they were in the world?

THE SITUATION

Textron Inc. is one of the world’s best-known multi-industry companies. And as with many large businesses, its 35,000-strong workforce didn’t always have a thorough understanding of each companies capabilities under the Textron umbrella.

Textron was looking to improve knowledge-sharing across more than 25 countries, raise awareness about each business’ capabilities & strengths and create connectedness across the Textron businesses.

THE RESULTS

The Inventive team developed a series of “How It’s Made” videos highlighting the innovative products and manufacturing processes associated with each Textron company. The visually engaging series provided employees across the world with much-needed insight across five businesses, hundreds of brands, and 35,000 employees.

The video series improved knowledge-sharing for the 35,000-strong employee base while raising awareness and increasing a sense of ownership and connectedness across the world.
